The tortilla press is a Mexican kitchen essential. Perfect for making corn tortillas, tortillas de maiz.
In order to make corn tortillas:
1. Place the masa or dough between two plastic sheets and bring the top over the masa and bring the handle down and press. It is helpful to rotate the tortilla and press again.
2. Then remove the tortilla from the plastic sheets and place on a preheated comal. Easy and fun to use.
To clean use a damp cloth or gently wash with mild soap and water. Dry immediately. We do not recommend scouring or harsh chemicals as that may damage the finish.
