| Homemade Crust |
| Old family pie crust recipe given to us by Grandma Karen. |
| Ingredients: |

| 3 cups of unbleached flour 1 tsp. salt 1 cup vegetable shortening or lard 1 egg 1 Tblsp. vinegar 1 1/2 cups water |
| Mix the flour and salt. Cut in the shortening with a pastry cutter. In a separate bowl beat the egg, vinegar and water. Add slowly to the flour mixture until soft. The dough should not be sticky. Slighty knead. Then separate into 4 pieces. Place on a plate, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Roll out on a well floured surface. Fold in half and lay in the pie pan. Makes 4 crusts. |
