| Carne Guisada Recipe |
| 4-5 cups of cubed roast roast drippings 3 cups of water 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. cumin 2 garlic gloves 3 Tblsp. corn starch or 6 Tblsp.flour (use additional 1 cup of cold water to dissolve starch) |
| Delicious beef cubes simmered in a gravy. Serve as a main dish with rice and beans or as a taco in a corn or flour tortilla. |
| Cook a roast as usual till tender. That should take about 2 hours at 350 degrees. Let it cool till it is safe to handle. Cut into small cubes. In a large pot add 3 cups of water, salt, pepper, cumin and finely chopped garlic. Next, dissolve the starch or flour in a cup of cold water. Pour into the pot of hot water mixture and whisk in. Finally, add the meat. Simmer. You should have a basic gravy with your meat. Serve with rice and beans or serve in a tortilla. |
